From April 14 to 18, President Xi 

Jinping, upon invitation, paid state 

visits to Viet Nam, Malaysia, and 

Cambodia. Upon conclusion of the 

tour, Member of the Political 

Bureau of the CPC Central 

Committee and Foreign Minister 

Wang Yi briefed the accompanying 

journalists on the visits. 

Wang Yi said that President Xi 

Jinping’s visits marked the first 

overseas tour of the Chinese head of 

state this year, representing a major 

diplomatic action after the Central 

Conference on Work Related to 

Neighboring Countries. Against the 

backdrop of the world under serious 

strain from unilateralism and power 

politics, these visits achieved full 

success, centering on building a 

community with a shared future, 

fostering good-neighborliness and 

advancing mutually beneficial 

cooperation. During the five-day 

and four-night tour, President Xi 

Jinping attended nearly 30 events 

in a tight schedule, elaborating in 

depth on the principles of pursuing 

friendship and partnership with the 

neighbors, and building an 

amicable, secure and prosperous 

neighborhood, highlighting the 

principle of amity, sincerity, mutual 

benefit and inclusiveness, and 

shared weal and woe. Over 100 

cooperation outcomes were yielded, 

ushering in a new chapter in 

building a community with a shared 

future with neighboring countries 

and charting a new blueprint for 

jointly promoting stability and 

prosperity with China’s neighbors. 

The three countries attached great 

importance to the visits and 

extended President Xi Jinping with 

the highest level of courtesy and 

the most grand and cordial 

arrangements. This reflected their 

heartfelt friendship and sent a clear 

message of their strong commitment 

to relations with China.

2025年4月14日至18日，国家主席习近平应邀对越南、马来西亚、柬埔寨三国进行国事访问。行程结束之际，中共中央政治局委员、外交部长王毅向随行记者介绍此访情况。

Forum was held in Chengdu. With 

the theme “Working Together for 

Win-win Cooperation”, the 

forumwelcomed the participation of 

39 friendship city delegations from 

29 countries around the world. Cao 

Lijun, Member of the Standing 

Committee of the CPC Sichuan 

Provincial Committee and Secretary 

of the CPC Chengdu Municipal 

Committee, attended the meeting 

and delivered a keynote speech.

4月16日，2025成都国际友城合作与发展大会在成都开幕。大会以“携手合作，共享共赢”为主题，来自全球29个国家39个友好代表团参会。省委常委、市委书记曹立军出席会议并作主旨讲话；市委副书记、市长王凤朝，市人大常委会主任张剡，市政协主席曾卿出席；全国对外友协副会长姜江致辞；市委副书记陈彦夫主持。

In his keynote address, Cao Lijun

for the entire world, proposed the 

important concept of building a 

community with a shared future for 

mankind and introduced the Global 

Development Initiative, the Global 

Security Initiative and the Global 

Civilization Initiative, offering 

Chinesesolutions for closer 

cooperation among countries and 

regions of the world.Chengdu has 

been the hub of international 

exchanges and the pearl of the 

southwest Silk Road since antiquity. 

In recent years, Chengdu has 

upheld openness and inclusiveness, 

actively engaged in international 

cooperation, and promoted high-

quality development through high-

level opening-up, injecting vitality 

into Chengdu’s economic and 

social development. Chengdu’s 

achievements of opening-up and 

development would not have been 

possible without the strong support 

of its international friendship cities 

and partners. By deepening 

exchanges and fostering practical 

cooperation, we have collectively 

established a mutually beneficial 

framework for economic and trade 

ties, as well as bridges of 

understanding and affinity.

events such as Chengdu FISU World 

University Games, Expo 2024 

Chengdu, and The World Games 

2025 Chengdu, our friendship cities 

have provided strong support and 

active participation, demonstrating 

with concrete actions the precious

At the opening ceremony, Chengdu

and Manchester (UK), Dujiangyan 

and Dunakeszi (Hungary), as well 

as Dujiangyan and Bhimeshwor 

(Nepal) officially established 

friendly cooperative relations, 

adding to a total of 244 international 

friendship cities for Chengdu.

开幕式上，成都与英国曼彻斯特、成都都江堰市与匈牙利多瑙凯西市、尼泊尔泽里果德市正式结为友好合作关系城市。至此，成都友城总数增至244个。

On April 18, the "China (Sichuan) -

Tanzania Economic and Trade 

Investment Promotion Conference" 

successfully took place in Wenjiang, 

Chengdu. The promotion conference 

brought together over 200 political 

and business representatives from 

China and Tanzania, covering four 

major sectors: agricultural product 

processing, clean energy, port 

upgrade and digital economy. 

Participating Wenjiang-based 

enterprises, including Zhongxinhai 

Industrial Group, HCOWA, 

Maiernuo Food, Vacure 

Biotechnology, and Deyite, explored 

opportunities for deeper cooperation 

in the East African market.

The Wenjiang Flowers and Trees 

(Agricultural Products) Import and 

Export Park signed an agreement 

with Arise Sino-Tan Industrial Park 

to jointly establish the "China-

Tanzania Agricultural Products 

Cross-border Supply Chain 

Platform." The initiative aims to 

create a channel for East African 

agricultural products to enter the 

Chinese market through the Dar es 

Salaam International Trade Fair 

(Saba Saba).
