On June 11, the second Belt and
Road Conference on Science and
Technology Exchange opened in
Chengdu. Ding Xuexiang, Member
of the Standing Committee of the
Political Bureau of the CPC Central
Committee and Vice Premier of the
State Council, attended the opening
ceremony and delivered a keynote
speech. He stated that Chinese
President Xi Jinping places great
importance on Belt and Road
science and technology exchange
and cooperation, having proposed a
series of major initiatives and
measures that provide important
guidance for advancing
international sci-tech innovation
collaboration. Through joint efforts
with all parties, China will continue
implementing the Belt and Road
Science, Technology and Innovation
Cooperation Action Plan, building
“a bridge bringing hearts closer” for
science and technology, forging an
innovation collaboration network,
and injecting strong momentum into
the high-quality development of the
Belt and Road Initiative.
6月11日，第二届“一带一路”科技交流大会在成都开幕。中共中央政治局常委、国务院副总理丁薛祥出席开幕式并发表主旨讲话。丁薛祥表示，中国国家主席习近平对“一带一路”科技交流合作高度重视，提出一系列重大倡议和举措，为推进国际科技创新合作提供了重要遵循。中国与各方共同努力，持续实施“一带一路”科技创新合作计划，搭建科技“连心桥”，织就创新协作网，为高质量共建“一带一路”注入了强劲动力。

On June 12, Wang Fengchao,
Deputy Secretary of the CPC
Chengdu Municipal Committee and
Mayor of the People’s Government
of Chengdu Municipality, met with
Ken Stacherski, Vice President and
Chief Supply Chain & Services
Officer for GE HealthCare, and his
delegation. Mayor Wang welcomed
Stacherski’s return visit to Chengdu,
expressing gratitude for GE
HealthCare’s investment and long-
term commitment to Chengdu. He
stated that Chengdu is currently
vigorously developing new quality
productive forces, such as high-end
medical devices, and accelerating
the construction of a global hub for
medical innovation. He expressed
hope that GE Healthcare would
maintain its confidence in Chengdu,
deepen cooperation, expedite
project implementation, and jointly
advance the establishment of
clusters and strengthening of supply
chains in the high-end medical
device industry. Chengdu will
continue to provide high-quality
services for the development of
enterprises.

To thoroughly implement the
decisions and arrangements of the
CPC Central Committee and the
important directives of General
Secretary Xi Jinping, the CPC
Sichuan Provincial Committee and
the People’s Government of Sichuan
Province recently issued Opinions
on Supporting Chengdu in
Optimizing and Strengthening Its
Growth Pole Function for High-
quality Development. The
guidelines explicitly support
Chengdu in accelerating the
development of the “three centers
and one base” strategy (centers of
economic development, S&T
innovation, and international
exchange in western China and
advanced manufacturing base in
China), continuously expanding its
economic output, enhancing core
competitiveness, optimizing
functional quality, and creating a
new benchmark for high-quality
development and high-level
governance in megacities.
为深入贯彻党中央决策部署和习近平总书记重要指示精神，中共四川省委、四川省人民政府日前印发《关于支持成都做优做强极核功能 加快高质量发展的意见》，明确提出支持成都加快建设“三中心一基地”（西部经济中心、西部科技创新中心、西部对外交往中心和全国先进制造业基地），持续做大经济总量、做强核心竞争力、做优功能品质，打造超大城市高质量发展和高水平治理新标杆。

Production and Marketing
Conference, supported by the
Ministry of Health of the Republic
of Ghana, was recently held in
Wenjiang District. Gaetan Charles
Adangabey, Deputy Director
General of Ghana Health Service
of the Ministry of Health of Ghana,
attended the event and delivered a
speech. At the event, Ghanaian
representatives provided insights
into West African medical market
demands and introduced
opportunities linked to 2025 China-
West Africa Medical & Health
Industry Expo. Over 100
representatives from companies in
pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical
services, medical devices, and big
health industry with an interest in
expanding internationally attended
the event.
近日，由加纳共和国卫生部支持的“聚焦非洲需求·共拓医药蓝海暨中国医药企业出海非洲产销对接会”在温江区举行。加纳卫生部卫生服务局副局长盖坦·查尔斯·阿当加贝出席活动并致辞。活动中，加方解读了西非医疗需求市场，并介绍了“2025西非医博会”机遇。100余家医药和医药服务、医疗器械企业和有意向出海的大健康行业代表参加活动。
