On March 11, the first session 

of MEET·HOME IN WENJIANG 

Spring Impression-MATT VEGH 

Art Salon in 2023 was held at the 

Heyu · 24h Book Cafe in the 

University Town Community of 

Liucheng Sub-district.

3月11日，“印象春天—MATT VEGH艺术沙龙”走进了柳城街道大学城社区“河屿·24h留灯书屋”。

At the invitation of the Foreign 

Affairs Office of Wenjiang District 

Peoples Government, Mr. Matt 

Vegh, a painter from Canada, 

shared his oil painting creation 

and reading experience with 

representatives of foreigners 

from Russia, Pakistan and 

Morocco, as well as painters 

from China in the University 

Town Community, and carried 

out on-site oil painting for 

learners. He said, "I have visited 

Wenjiang many times, and I am 

very excited and happy about this 

offline exchange activity." Matt 

Vegh is the first foreigner in 

Chengdu to obtain a Chinese 

Green Card. He not only has a 

yearning for Bashu culture, but 

also combines Chinese landscape 

painting with oil painting 

techniques to create a series of 

works with Tianfu characteristics. 

He has been invited to participate 

in Chengdu International Art 

Exhibition many times.

加拿大画家魏迈中（Matt Vegh）先生应区外事办的邀请，在这里与俄罗斯、巴基斯坦、摩洛哥的外籍市民代表，以及大学城社区的中国“画友”分享油画创作和阅读历程，现场开展油画学习。魏迈中是成都首个获得绿卡的外籍人士，他不仅对巴蜀文化极其向往，而且将中国山水画与油画创作相结合，创作了一系列具有天府特色的作品，多次受邀参加成都国际艺术展。“来温江已多次，这次的线下交流活动让我非常激动和开心。”——加拿大画家魏迈中。

only brought his new oil 

paintings, but also experienced 

the joy of oil painting creation 

with Chinese and foreign 

residents. OMAIMA TOUBAL, 

a Moroccan international student 

from Southwestern University of 

Finance and Economics, said that 

this was her first time to learn 

painting on the spot, and she was 

very happy to participate in such 

an interaction and hoped that 

more such activities can be 

staged."

活动现场，魏迈中先生不仅带来了自己的油画新作，还与中外市民共同体验油画创作过程中的乐趣。来自政通小学的雷同学选择了自己喜欢的红、白、绿等颜色，向魏迈中先生学习。“我很喜欢绘画，今天第一次把各种颜色混合在一起画画，很开心。”——政通小学雷同学。“这是我第1次现场学习绘画，非常开心参与这样的互动交流，也希望这样的活动能更多的举办。”——西南财经大学的摩洛哥籍留学生OMAIMA TOUBAL。

third time that the brand has 

partnered with the bookstore to 

enhance exchanges between 

different cultures.

绘画是人的心理活动的“投射”，画作天然具有表达和沟通的作用。用颜料描绘心中的“印象春天”，在家门口近距离品鉴艺术，在留灯书屋品享城市味道，成为了大学城社区春天里的一席盛宴。值得一提的是，此次“印象春天—MATT VEGH艺术沙龙”举行地“河屿·24h留灯书屋”，是温江精心打造的公共文化新空间样板之一，24h留灯书屋用柔暖灯光照亮着每个温江市民的精神归途。而“域见”，则是温江外事工作品牌。此次活动，是继“威廉·昂格版画展”“BOOK思议—中外阅读沙龙”后，“域见”以多种打开方式第3次走进留灯书屋，增进不同文化之间的交流和交往。
